Letters to the dead
When the Fenburne police force receive strange letters, DI Jodie Walsh senses death is on the horizon. The letters begin 'Dear Victim' and describe sinister plans, whilst mentioning no names. The police are the potential targets, although Walsh thinks that might be a ruse, wondering what a scribe's game is. It's a deadly game, and one that will draw Sam Hyatt back into the mix: the retired detective who's doing his best to mind his own business.Death has a way of calling in Fenburne, however, and Jodie Walsh and Sam Hyatt pair up once more, keen to track down a deadly scribe before it's too late.
