Road to Bendour

(1976)
A novel by

Mary Mackenzie had lived a sheltered life on the family farm in Scotland. When she failed to gain a place at University, and the alternative - to marry her neighbour, Duncan Campbell - seemed quite unacceptable, she took a post in an office in Grantley, Yorkshire. She hated the city but this was largely mitigated by her attraction for her employer, Bill Cowell. Soon Mary found herself in a romantic maze from which only she could find the way out.
