He was Jim Maiben, fresh from three bitter years on the Yuma rockpile, and his target was the man, the killer, who lorded it over the streets of Tonto Bend. Maiben was thinking of the ways to kill a man - painfully - when the words snapped out of the boulders above: "Stand up - and keep those hands where they are!" He looked up and laughed.
