A Fatal Final Course
(2026)(The ninth book in the Honeyford Harbor Culinary Cozy Mystery series)
A novel by R L Everheart
A celebrity chef. A flawless tasting menu. One fatal final course.
When celebrity chef Victor Laurent brings his glamorous waterfront pop-up dining experience to Honeyford Harbor, café owner Eden Morales is thrilled to help behind the scenes—until the evening ends with Victor dead, stabbed by a specialty carving fork hidden among a block of identical utensils.
While Eden obsessively reconstructs the night's service plate by perfectly plated course, her mischievous kitten, Crumb, uncovers a discarded prep schedule that doesn't match the official timeline. With her gossip-loving bartender friend gathering whispers from the VIP bar and her dependable contractor friend uncovering secrets in the temporary kitchen, Eden begins piecing together a murder hidden beneath polished silver and perfect presentation.
An embittered sous chef about to lose his career and a rival restaurateur whose reputation Victor destroyed both had every reason to want the celebrity chef gone.
If Eden can't expose the killer before the evidence disappears, Honeyford Harbor Café may become the next casualty of a deadly cover-up.
