Steffanie Edward was born in St Lucia, and brought up in London. She writes mainly fiction, but has also had articles published in local newspapers. Three of her short stories have been published in anthologies. This Other Island is her debut novel and was long listed for the SI Leeds Literary prize. She enjoys writing stories with strong emotional themes.
