The year is 2038, and Cass has spent nearly half her life on The Deliverance, hurling through space some 250 miles above the Earth. Her parents and the other scientists were supposed to be everyone's salvation; sent up to create a cure for a plague in the space station's zero-gravity labs. But something went wrong.

Now eight years since it all started, their time has run out. In a decaying orbit, a small group of survivors is forced to the surface. Called The Fallen by those still clawing out an existence on Earth against all odds, they're tasked with the monumental undertaking to bring their latest cure to the right people.
