Bronwyn is in Alaska with Mankowitz recovering after her cosmetic surgery in Canada, but soon she's on the run. The Canadian government have made her an enemy of the people for passing on information about the quantum computer to the Americans, but all is not what it seems. She travels to Anchorage from Black Rapids where she discovers that the secretive 'Ndrangheta mafia in British Columbia want revenge after she took their money at Retallack, so she changes identities to elude them and then decides to take all their money and redirect it to good causes across the world. After that, she focuses her efforts on finding the Friday Killer, who has already killed seven young women and will soon kill again unless she can stop him.

After Joe Larkins' death, Jerry tells Abi that the musketeers no longer exist, but that doesn't last very long when she take on Harry and Avery. Charlie Baxter has a new girlfriend called Pandora Ethridge and Charlie asks Jerry to retrieve a box of keepsakes from the London apartment she was living in and return the key. Unfortunately, Harry drops the box and inside they find nine severed fingers and an ear. To protect Charlie, she must find out who Pandora Ethridge is.

Kowalski agrees to take on the case of a missing drug addict, who he soon finds in the mortuary. After the doctor points out a lethal amount of arsenic in the toxicology report, and shows him six other drug overdose deaths where the victim had a lethal amount of arsenic, it soon becomes apparent that someone is killing junkies. DCI Tracey Macdonald calls wanting him to return the favour by finding someone who's stalking her. Then, the daughter of an old partner appears to ask him if he'd find a missing Plate 77 Penny Red stamp that her client had recently purchased anonymously at auction for half a million pounds. When he visits the crime scene, he finds that it was an impossible crime. As if all that wasn't enough, he has a falling out with his son – Gabe.
