Lady Amanda was quite happy to allow this collection of the first three Belchester Chronicles, a 'trilogy' - because it so obviously qualifies as one. What she could not come to terms with was it being called a 'bundle'. The closest she would allow was a 'bundle of fun', but that was too obscure for most readers, so a 'trilogy' it is and she hopes you thoroughly enjoy reading it. Strangeways to Oldham An outpouring of English upper class eccentricities with the odd murder thrown in. On a visit to a local nursing home, Lady Amanda Golightly of Belchester Towers stumbles over, not only a long-lost friend, but upon murder as well! When the police dismiss her story as an elderly lady's ramblings, she and her friend Hugo set out to bring the killer to justice, and teach the police a thing or two! White Christmas with a Wobbly Knee Lady Amanda and Hugo are off again on one of their madcap investigations after the discovery of a body of a dead guest, found slumped on the library table, murdered FIVE TIMES! Lady Amanda is determined to save the reputations of their batty friends and beat the morose Inspector Moody to the unmasking of the culprit - or is it culprits? - while Beauchamp, her butler, calmly serves cocktails. Snowballs and Scotch Mist In this third 'cocktail' mystery, Lady Amanda receives an invitation to spend Burns' Night in Castle Rumdrummond in Scotland. Although she is dismissive of the idea, her old chum Hugo is thrilled at the thought and, beguiled by the idea of wearing tartan, he uses his own brand of childish pleading to win her agreement to the trip. It is not too long, however, before murder enters their lives again.
