A chilling painting drags a forgotten double homicide back into the light. Its details are so precise that they could only come from someone who witnessed the Halloween night killings. The artist? The victims’ daughter. And she remembers nothing.
Jake Scott dives headfirst into the case, much to his detective girlfriend’s concern. But the investigation stalls until a second painting emerges, more disturbing and revealing than the first.
Now the clues point to a hidden place … and a patient predator who’s been waiting decades for the truth to resurface. Jake races to find the killer before the killer finds the artist, and forces her to remember what she’s spent a lifetime forgetting.
