DO YOU HAVE TO HATE TO MURDER?

Detective Sergeant Fiona Madden and her partner are sent to investigate the report of a body in a remote area of South Connemara. It appears that a young woman has been murdered and dumped. The preliminary investigation by the SCI team from the Garda Technical Bureau tells another story. The identification of the corpse and the investigation into the murder presents some initial prime suspects. But nothing in Madden’s and Tracy’s lives is easy. They must immerse themselves in the world of hate crime and the reaction of the Irish people to the changing demographic of the country. Madden’s involvement is hampered by a change in the hierarchy and the possibility of career advancement as well as her renewed involvement in her mother’s life.
Madden and Tracy must look behind the changing face of Ireland to find the motive to the murder of the body at the Battery.
The Galway Murders are mysteries which reflect the issues that exist in the Ireland of today. Many of those issues already examined have become the news of today.
