I have a name for the elite mom-squad of Caraway Island: the Stepford Moms. Identical haircuts, designer yoga pants, and an air of entitlement that could curdle milk. Their leader, Krista Martin, picked a fight with the wrong dad when she decided to bully my five-year-old at the playground.
Hours later, she’s dead. And her clique of wannabe witches doesn’t seem too broken up about it. In fact, they’re busy buying up all the sage at the grocery store and mixing up potions that smell suspiciously like fruit smoothies. They’re part of a multi-level marketing scheme called Quintessence, and I’m pretty sure their "Five Pillars of Health" have less to do with probiotics and more to do with a primal-force spell that could wipe our island off the map.
With my daughter’s newfound magic making her an easy scapegoat, I have to figure out what this coven of Karens is up to. My only allies are my artificer sister, a talking cat with a penchant for naps, and a neighborly witch-cop. This is going to get weird.
