The White Room

(2012)
A novel by

During the final years of World War II, five prisoners are delivered to an ominous white room formerly housing medical experiments. Numb from years of relentless horror, and certain they're to become guinea pigs in some bizarre Nazi testing, the prisoners are promised good food and warm clothing in exchange for producing high quality American currency.
Their task is impossible; Germany's retreating on every front and the currency's urgently required to fund an SS escape to South America. Prisoners know they'll be killed the moment the assignment's completed and murdered should they fail. Guards sabotage production while bad weather and faulty machinery conspire with British bombers to play havoc with inmates nerves. And liberation, that constant prayer for salvation now threatens their very survival since they'll be shot the instant Allies approach the camp.
Locked in the white room is yet another enemy; centuries of ethnic hatred for one another.
