When Suzette receives the first letter, she turns to her almost ex-boyfriend, Justin Malone, a recently promoted San Francisco homicide cop and his partner, Native American Mike Rainwater. They propose using her as bait to capture the Stalker. As the Stalker haunts her, Suzette must wade through the horrible last hours of the six victims before they were murdered. Some how, she must find the connection between his victims even though the cops haven't been able to. When Suzette's assistant is murdered by mistake, Suzette will use anyone even a psychic to learn who is doing the killing. As Suzette gets closer to understanding each murder, the Stalker begins acting out of character. He isn't following the agenda he followed before. No one knows why the Stalker has moved up his time table but Suzette only has hours before she becomes victim number seven.
