Journee Ambrose was the last single sister. That was fine. She was happy for her sisters. They all found their guy. She found hers, too. He just wasn’t aware of it.
She worked with Joshua at the clinic. They got along fine. They even exchanged an occasional comment that could be construed as flirting. But once again, Journee wasn’t sure Joshua was aware of it.
Joshua worked hard at the clinic, then went home to his teenage brother, who he was raising. Braden was a handful and not happy to be living in Calaway Crossing. Journee knew Joshua was a busy man and dating was probably the last thing on his mind.
So, she’d wait and keep her secret crush to herself. Except it wasn’t really a secret. It seemed Joshua was about the only person in town who didn’t know.
