But I’m not crazy.
I’m simply lost.
The myths we learn in school are false.
A simple fact I shared with the wrong teacher in high school.
Which led to my ten-year-long imprisonment in this psych ward.
Except, I know the legends about Medusa are flawed.
I just can’t explain how I know that.
Or why I dream of a world of Gods and Goddesses every night.
But when a trio of intense males appear in my cell, everything I thought I knew is turned upside down.
The realm I’ve dreamt of is very real.
Only, it’s a dystopian nightmare, not a fantasy.
And the three men claim I’m destined to help them fix it.
I take one look at their reality and do what any smart girl would do—I run.
So now they’re hunting me.
Chasing me through a foreign land riddled with postapocalyptic insanity.
All while calling me their ‘mate.’
I don’t know what’s real and what’s not.
Maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow in my cell and be ‘Mad Maddie’ again.
Or maybe I’ll wake up in a nest, surrounded by my supposed mates.
It’s up to fate now.
I just hope she deals me a fair hand…
