A Rag, a Bone and a Hank of Hair

It is the end of the 22nd century and the birthrate is falling following a nuclear power plant leak. The government has begun to manufacture "Reborns", new people from old. Brin, an arrogant 12-year-old, is sent to live with a Reborn family, recreated from 1940, in order to monitor the experiment.
