After robbery with violence at a Croydon Motel, Police discover that the attack has the hall-marks of an inside job. The elderly and infirm proprietor does not realise that he cherishes not one viper but two in his bosom. The evil snake-charmer aims to dispossess him of his life and his motel without breaking any law. But in the ensuing treachery and intrigue, the nature of the crime itself is shown to be self-destructive through its own self-induced poison.
