‘I was referred here after I punched a man in the middle aisle in Lidl. It was over the last pearl-blue air-fryer.’ ‘Women Changing’ is a collection of surreal, darkly comic short stories that centre on female midlife metamorphosis. Drawing on native female folklore, mythological figures, and fairy tale archetypes, Fahey rewrites traditional narratives through the lens of menopausal fury.
