I hate Brodie Montgomery. Admittedly I don’t know the guy personally but his annoyingly good looks and professional reputation – ruthless property developing shark - precedes him. Not to mention his playboy status and that intriguing scar on his face that has caused endless reams of speculation on gossip sites. He probably got it falling off his bike when he was two.
Now his company has bought the building where I work in the not for profit sector and they want to develop it into luxury apartments, decimating what has been a vital hub for the local community.
But after confronting him at a charity event in an attempt to try and expose his hypocrisy, he turns the tables on me and now everyone thinks we’re together.
Finding myself agreeing to a fake dating situation with his promise that he’ll actually listen to me was not part of the plan… Nor was the realisation that the chemistry between us is scorching hot, hot enough to incinerate my principles.
