Christy Sellers hadn’t thought much about Ken Green since they graduated from high school. Then she sees him at a staff meeting where they both work and she realizes she knows him. The annoying boy who’d pestered her in geometry class was now working at the same company.
Ken Green almost doesn’t recognize the girl he’d crushed on in high school. After 15 years, Teeny Sellers still has the same beautiful smile. Now that they both work at the same place, he bumps into her regularly. After they find themselves waiting in the lunch line of the company cafeteria, they share a table and begin to get to know each other as adults.
Christy remarks that she doesn’t know what to do about a plant her elderly aunt had given her that seems to be dying. Ken, whose mother grew flowers for florists, volunteers to take a look at it, and Christy realizes how little she knows about plants though she had grown up on a farm. When Ken diagnoses the problem with the plant, she calls him her Plant Whisperer, and he takes the plant to his place to nurse it back to health.
As time passes, friendship becomes something else and they become close to being lovers. Then a simple misunderstanding nearly tears them apart.
Can two old friends get past that mistake and find a future together?
Genre: Romance
