The work can be lucrative if the thieves and murderers can be avoided. Still, a blade—whether swung by a true warrior or the unskilled—isn’t the only hazard. Beasts are always lurking beneath the murky seas, hunting the deep water near the Far End. Occasionally they explore the shallows, snatching a few Vranigans walking too close to the waves.
