There are interesting descriptions of clothes and of the intricacies of being accepted in a new school. But the major weakness of this series remains plot, and the story hinges on the unlikely behavior of Ginger letting the cheerleader spread rumors about her and the famous teen heartthrob. It just doesn't hold together.
