Matchmaking Moose
(2026)12 Tails of Christmas
(A book in the Love in Mission City series)
A Story by Gabbi Grey
Miller won a commission to showcase his art with a mural in downtown Mission City. His work is supposed to reflect the beautiful nature surrounding the small town. Except Miller grew up in the big city, and his exposure to nature—especially the furry and feathered kind—has been limited. Luckily there's a nearby wildlife rescue where he can meet a few animal friends and gain some inspiration. A rescue with a surprisingly attractive caretaker…
Easton honored his parents by turning their legacy into a wildlife sanctuary. He cares for permanent residents who can't be rehabilitated, including a cantankerous partridge, a horny goat, and a bullheaded moose. Christmastime brings the usual slowdown, with the lack of school tours, and one adult visitor catches Easton's eye. Miller's talent is undeniable, but it's Miller's kindness and his brilliant curiosity, not the stunning drawings of Easton's critters, that make him wonder if maybe Miller swings his way.
