Murder at Charm School
(2026)(The eighth book in the Sonoma Witches series)
A novel by Gretchen Galway
Witch investigator Alma Bellrose goes to school in the eighth book of the delightful Sonoma Witches cozy mystery series.
Witch Alma Bellrose has become a victim of her own success. Having recently displayed too many of her amazing powers in public, Alma is being forced to lay low without a paycheck—right when she needs it most.
Determined to make a living even if it means breaking a few rules, Alma goes undercover at a snooty witch boarding school that once rejected her as a child. Her assignment: to discover the truth about a wealthy Silicon Valley investor—and witch dad—who recently turned up dead near campus.
As she pretends to be part of the society that used to—well, still does—shun her, Alma quickly finds suspicious goings-on at the exclusive, forested academy. The children are too busy bullying one another to murder any adults, but that can’t be said for the principal, faculty, staff, or other parents. Putting that many witches in one isolated, high-pressure school was bound to lead to trouble—and, sure enough, there’s a second murder.
Although her powers are limited by her disguise, Alma’s determined to bring the killer to justice, even if it means putting her life—and more—on the line.
Genre: Cozy Mystery
