Lest We Forget

The Memorial Day weekend finds Angela and Jackson Crow visiting a small village in France that rests just inland from Omaha Beach. The cemetery there dates back to the days of the French Revolution.

And they’re there because of a suspicious death—occurring in the cemetery. Steven Marks, a new agent with their Blackbird division, is concerned because he had met the man—despite his ninety-plus years, he’d been in excellent condition.

He’d come to the village to visit the cemetery. Friends, killed during the Normandy Invasion, were buried there. They had died; he had survived. And he often came to give them homage.

But he had been a healthy man, despite his age. The suspicious death deeply troubles Steven, and so, they must discover the truth.

But it will not be what they’re thinking, and in the discovery, they’ll be doubly reminded that we all must always give our most humble thanks and honor to those who served and gave their all.
