The Collected Poems of John Galsworthy

(2004)
A collection of poems by

Book DescriptionThis volume contains most of the poems written by John Galsworthy. It does not include, however, all that have been published, and it does contain many that have not been published before.

On the whole the arrangement has been chronological, but also with an eye to suitability of neighbouring subjects. Thus, the reader will find that the quality of the poems will tend to increase as he turns the pages, the best of all being at the very end, written during the last years. As to 'Frivols' - they are admitted to this collection in order that a perhaps almost unsuspected side of the poet's fancy may not remain unrepresented.

The beautiful lines 'Dedication' have been removed from their original position and placed in the body of the book, to avoid confusion with the dedication of this volume, which is made to his sister, in John Galsworthy's name.
