The story begins with a group of aliens viewing earth from deep space, shocked that human beings are trapped in delusions, time, and resource destruction. Humboldt County's marijuana farms, where an E.T.-style alien abduction occurs; alliances between corporate loggers and bad aliens; and a flashback to the 2000 election of an extraterrestrial leader carry the story to its provocative conclusion.
