(2026)
(The third book in the Secret Life of a Teenage P.I. series)
A Story by

Patty-Rose Alderman expected spring break in the Smoky Mountains to be filled with hiking, sightseeing, and a little family fun. She did not expect a forgotten cemetery or the legend of a woman whose voice is said to echo through the pines.

When Patty-Rose and her twin brother, Frankie, begin asking questions, they uncover the story of Glenyth Ramsey, a schoolteacher. The deeper they dig, the stranger the mystery becomes.

And one question refuses to go away:

What really happened to Thomas Ramsey?

As Patty-Rose and Frankie follow a trail through old mountain cabins, historic cemeteries, and the misty forests of Pine Hollow, they discover that some legends are built on more than ghost stories.

Echoes in Pine Hollow is a heartwarming middle-grade mystery filled with adventure, history, family, and just enough spookiness to keep young readers turning the pages.

This short story tells of actual places in the Smoky Mountains. Michael does a great job detailing The Little River Companies first established by Colonel Townsend. Other places featured include; Elkmont, The Little River Railroad, Dollywood and even a quick trip to The Old Mill Restaraunt. If you enjoy the Smokies, you and your kids will enjoy picking up some background on the area while solving a case!

If you enjoy following along young sleuths investigations, you'll love each book in this series.
