Justice on the Island
(2027)(Book 19 in the DI Liam O'Reilly Mystery series)
A novel by Stewart Giles
Justice comes in many shapes and sizes.
When the body of a man is found hanging in his home, Detective Inspector Liam O'Reilly is the first on the scene.
The man has sustained over twenty stab wounds, and he's been shot in the head, execution style. When O'Reilly learns of his identity, he's shocked.
The man was a retired police detective.
Two days later, another body is found.
The second victim has suffered identical injuries and when it transpires that he was also a retired detective in the Island Police, O'Reilly knows he's dealing with a killer with a specific agenda.
When O'Reilly gets closer to the motivation behind the murders, he realises he needs to act quickly. The dead detectives share something in common and the killer is ticking names off a list.
As the case progresses, it becomes personal for one of the detectives on O'Reilly's team. Someone close to them is in the killer's sights and time is running out for them.
Justice isn't always black and white - there are many shades of grey in between.
