The Magocracy has been defeated once and for all, but in the process Vampyra and the Misfits have been drawn into the Supernatural Community, and the political games of the supernatural races. Will the wicked webs of those who are used to having all the power ensnare Vampyra and her friends? Will she be able to escape coming under the thrall of powerful creatures with centuries of experience to draw on? Or will everything come crashing down?

The world of CoC is not a happy one, but it is not grimdark, either. It is like the world we live in, but with superheroes and game-like elements, where the ones regarded as heroes aren't always the most heroic amongst us. While the main characters in CoC are not as... extreme as those in my other stories, and at least try to be heroes, there is material some will find disturbing.
