(Lillenas Publications). The "point of view" in these three one-act plays is decidedly southern. Many of Ms. Higman's characters would have felt right at home in a William Faulkner novel. Actors will enjoy getting their teeth into these parts. There is not a throw-away role among them. One of the plays, "Pokeweed and Mrs. Gasp," has been on a national tour, garnering rave reviews. While not overly religious, each script reflects society's need for understanding, honesty, and unconditional love.
