The Guild Incident

(2023)
(The second book in the Dungeon on Earth series)
A novel by

It’s been twenty years since Cora arrived on a new world with no memories. She’s had to work hard to rebuild her dungeon, with Amethyst’s help, but she’s about to face some serious challenges. Threats, betrayals, and of course the pain of simply growing up to be a full-grown dungeon. An ethereal dungeon.

Jia was a genetics researcher, among other things, but now she’s an A-class adventurer with twenty years of experience. Life is about to give her another of those unique opportunities, as the older adventurers return to their old world, and Silvia is gone for a while, it might just be up to her as the new town administrator to make sure everything they’ve accomplished and fought for doesn’t get torn down.
The magi the guild sends as a temporary ruler won’t be making that job any easier.

Caldin is ready to go home, retire as a guild officer, and just get back to adventuring on his world of birth which is his only ambition. He’ll just need to navigate the dangers of guild island first, and the politics and backbiting of the arrogant magi. Not an easy task, as he does his best not to earn enemies.

Silvia’s promised word to a goddess is about to bite her in the backside, and she isn’t nearly the match she’d believed she’d be to the council, when she ascends to Ethereal herself. It was going to take subtlety, sneakiness, and underhandedness if she was going to navigate the dangers and survive to return to the Earth.

Author’s note: The dungeon is written in first person, while all others are in third person limited POV. Jia and Caldin have large parts in the book, as it’s written from their three points of view for the most part, but there are a few other small parts for diverse others. This is the second book of a trilogy.
