Judgement

(2023)
(The fourth book in the Origins of Supers series)
A novel by

Anna Cortez was just sixteen when she quickened. All her life she’d wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Be a superhero. She’d never met her father, had no idea who he was.

At least, until she quickened, and didn’t gain her mother’s super-powers. No, she gained the power of a third-tier telepath, the rarest of them all. Also the most dangerous.

There were only two major problems, among a multitude of others. Telepaths were
not superheroes. They were judges, lawyers, and professional jurors for the most part. The second problem? Third tier telepaths were mostly supervillains, probably due to that whole mind control thing, along with a few other questionable powers that most telepaths didn’t enjoy.

Her dreams were ashes, but she was determined to find a way. No matter the cost, even if everyone kept telling her it’d never happen. Join Anna as she takes her first few steps into the world with her powers, that will set the stage for the rest of her life.

Author’s note: This is the fourth book of a
clean superhero series with no mature content. Each book will be a new standalone novel of different supers, and their origin story and first steps, all in the same world during turbulent times of change. Although each independent story can stand alone, the world building and timeline will involve spoilers from past books so they should be read in order.

Genre: Science Fiction
