I looked death in the face many times in my life, but nothing beats getting swallowed by a tree. It rarely made sense that I survived attacks that should have killed me, yet I'm still here.
Now, I finally know why.
The truth is uglier than even I expected, and it changes everything—except Marcus, a.k.a. Mr Bad Guy. He still uses magic like he owns it. That’s because he does, and he’s not the only one out there.
The mistakes of a few have finally come back to make everyone else pay the price, and I'm sitting in the front row. I’ll stop at nothing to find Marcus and put an end to his madness, even if this time it kills me for good.
At least now I am not alone.
