I was supposed to die by a knife through my heart that night.
But the stars of Verenthia have a different plan for me--which is to get kidnapped by a snow-white lynx that shouldn't even be real, and held hostage by a sentient building.
Yes, I said building. For real.
Rune is gone. The lifebond with the Seelie Prince is broken. And I’m trapped in a court of frost and silence, hunted by a damn truth that refuses to stay buried.
And it all ties back to a dead queen whose face I just so happen to wear.
Now I have to uncover who she was, what she did both to herself and to me, and why. Because something is stirring in Verenthia, something ancient that I am most definitely not prepared for.
As luck would have it, nobody gives a shit about my feelings, but that's okay. I'm nothing if not stubborn, and I do manage to find my way to Rune eventually. I even ended up meeting his dad.
Not the smartest move I could have made, though.
