July Truly has made an artform out of running away from her problems. She fled her southern roots right out of high school, escaped bad jobs and friendships, and now, after a failed engagement, the uncompromising young woman has retreated to East Pines, North Carolina.
Thomas Jay is trying to keep his mother’s touring business going. After her sudden passing, he is reworking his dreams and learning to live with her loss.
