A novel by

Heidi Bliss has been struggling with guilt since the unexpected loss of her boyfriend. When Henry was alive, he made all of the hard decisions for her, and Heidi took shelter in his need to be in control. But now that he’s gone, Heidi is struggling to regain her sense of self, and hasn’t learned to use her voice when advocating for her needs. When Heidi escapes her city and ends up in a small town, surrounded by strangers that treat her like family, Heidi feels a sense of home for the first time in a long time. But there’s something about the local handyman, Wes, that has her on edge. He is open and warm to everyone else, but mysteriously cold and distant when it comes to Heidi. As Heidi slowly falls in love with the small town and its people, Wes helps her learn to use her voice and her talents to face her fears rather than run from them. Meanwhile, Wes has his own dark past that he’s running from.
