Kai and his deadly team of marionettes, combat-ready android dolls, are back in action and journeying to the city of Desiree. Somewhere in the metropolis, ruled by sinful entertainment under the endless glow of neon, is the last-known location of the president’s daughter, Sienna, who vanished after sneaking out on a weekend getaway.
However, Sienna isn’t only the president’s daughter. She’s also the heiress to a billion-dollar corporate empire, the perfect person the Solar Coalition can’t wait to exploit.
Now, Kai’s Marionette Task Force has one mission: find Sienna before the enemy can leverage her for blackmail. But as the clock ticks down and the guns come out for battle, the line between man and machine begins to blur. A new type of marionette model is unveiled, one so lifelike it’s indistinguishable from a human and doesn’t have the flaws of one. The next-gen model could be the key to saving Sienna’s life when its testing is complete.
So long as the enemy doesn’t get their hands on it first.
Between keeping the new marionette prototype safe and Sienna, Kai’s team is stretched thin, and there’s a very good chance that the enemy already knows that.
