Leafpoint Lighthouse was one of four lighthouses built by the Jasper family to combat the shipwrecks plaguing their coastline. It towered over the sea, a light in the darkness that sailors trusted. But when men turn to greed, death followed, and the consequences were unexpected. Once tall and majestic, four beacons of hope fell into disrepair as death stalked them, Leafpoint being the first to fall.

She was one of the last four members of a family she knew little about. Called to attend a will reading, Lyra is shocked to discover she’s inherited a lighthouse. On arrival, she learns it’s not worked for two hundred years, since the lighthouse keeper was murdered. With his death, the light died too, and to this day, his murder is whispered about. Down on her luck and needing a place to lick her wounds, Lyra moves in.

His existence is being disturbed by a woman who moves into his home. How dare she? She might be a Jasper, but she’d no right! Unamused, William sets out to remove her and regain his peaceful experience. William has no choice, as he’s here to prevent evil taking hold. But Lyra is disturbing things and waking something that shouldn’t be woken.

Lyra doesn’t believe in ghosts. But strange things keep happening, such as the lighthouse working again, wits protective beam reaching out across the waves and warning of danger. Plus, the ugly, government-run lighthouse just collapsed into a pile of rubble. Destiny is coming, and nobody can outrun it.

Can William keep evil in place, or will Lyra inadvertently release it and condemn everyone and everything?
