Mary Jane Leonine, or Leo for short, is not your average reporter. She's the one-woman force behind Belville's local paper, and though she lives in an idyllic magical town now, she knows that life isn't all glimmers and lucky charms. When mysterious tarot cards start appearing in her mail, she assumes the worst. And of course, she decides to investigate.
Over the course of a year, Leo's mission will take her places she never expected. She'll encounter some new faces--and deal with a few old ones, too, including a particularly beguiling mine owner and a witchy barista. Through it all, she'll learn about the tarot cards and the shady business dealings they hint at; but more than anything, she'll have to learn about herself.
