As the city burns, one family makes a desperate bid for survival…
Piper and Eli have finally found Piper’s daughter, Kelsey, and her boyfriend, Jackson—but their reunion comes at a deadly cost. Cleveland is collapsing in chaos. Riots rage. Buildings crumble. The rule of law is gone.
Worse still, Jackson is a marked man. A brutal enforcer named Asher has put a bounty on his head, and Jackson’s face is plastered across the city on every wall and lamppost. It’s only a matter of time before someone turns him in—for money or for sport.
There’s only one hope left: run.
With nothing but a rough plan and each other, the four must brave the riot-scarred streets in a desperate bid to reach Jackson’s mother’s island hideaway—rumored to be untouched, safe, and isolated.
But escape is just the beginning. Tens of thousands are fleeing Cleveland, and not everyone is looking for sanctuary. Some want power. Others want blood.
To survive, they’ll have to claw their way through a collapsing world. Somewhere out there is a place to start over. They just have to survive long enough to reach it.
Genre: Science Fiction
