Portraits in Blue

Portraits in Blue is a collection of stories tracing the lives and careers of four New York Metropolitan Police Department officers as they progress from their rookie days to their retirement years. And it's all here as the reader accompanies the three Bs - Brauer, Braddock, Benevento - on patrol and Detective Duke Williams as he investigates crimes of murder and mayhem. The reader's emotions will swing between happiness and despair, loving and loathing, and fulfillment and frustration as the four dedicated officers cope with the tales of violence, compassion, success, failure, life, and death as can only be found on the streets and in the neighborhoods of New York City.
