Bogha Sealgair is a half elf hunter that lives with his elven uncle, Draoi, who happens to be a shaman. Bogha wishes to become a ranger despite not being a full blooded elf and looked down upon for his mixed heritage. Rangers are those that defend civilization from the creatures of the wilds and the idea of following in his parents' footsteps has long been his dream. The hunter gets accepted to an adventurer's academy where he will learn the tricks of the trade. Draoi helps Bogha change his class and the young man sets out on a journey to the academy. He is joined and looked after by Sylph, a wind spirit, who is his friend.
As he travels to the academy, Bogha encounters challenges and grows stronger. He also meets and forms a bond with Sora, a fox. Their reception at the academy is not as friendly as Bogha wishes but he plows ahead. The challenges of the road made Bogha and Sora strong. The instructors warn him that he will not benefit from his time at the academy as much as his peers. Bogha finds that he is feared for being more powerful than the other students in his courses and looked down upon at the same time. Within months, Bogha is faced with the choice of staying at the academy or striking out on his own.
This book is mostly slice of life like my other works. There is more action than I normally write in the form of quick spurts of combat and magic. There's also a bit of romance but no explicit sexual material.
Genre: GameLit
