(2022)
A novel by

A desperate widow.

A bitter rancher.

A Wyoming dream.

When her husband of less than a month is killed in a freak accident, Anna Johnson inherits his sprawling Wyoming cattle ranch, the LJ. Though thousands of miles from home, alone and among strangers, Anna sees a spark of hope in tragedy: an opportunity for independence, something she has dreamed of for the past twelve years.

Grant Brookington, whose Diamond B ranch adjoins Anna's LJ, tries to buy her out. But Anna has no intention of selling the LJ, and certainly not to her arrogant neighbor. Though she knows nothing about ranching, she is confident of her ability to learn.

Only one man offers her assistance, that same Grant Brookington whose patronizing attitude disturbs Anna nearly as much as her unwilling attraction to him.

Grant makes no secret of his desire to own the LJ even as his desire for the feisty, stubborn widow who owns it grows. He can help her keep the ranch and her independence, but he may lose them both in the process.

Are they willing to sacrifice their pride to hold onto something far more precious?
