When omega elf, Nashen, finds a book made from bloody dragon scales amongst his dead sister’s things he knows he has to return it to the family of the dragon he believes to have been murdered. He doesn’t relish the idea of going back to Earthside after everything that has unfolded there but he feels honor bound to undo his dead sister’s sinister actions. An elf’s gotta do what an elf’s gotta do.

Alpha owl, Bernard, has two reasons to travel to London. The first is his older cousin’s wedding and the second is a nagging suspicion that he’ll find out more about his missing roommate. He wasn’t that close to the guy, but Bernard is disturbed about how nonchalant everyone is about him disappearing off the face of Earthside.

What neither man expects is that their destinies will collide on a half-dismantled ship and change their lives forever. With angry ghosts, family secrets, and at least one haunted past will Bernard and Nashen be able to piece together a life for themselves or are they doomed to ride the waves of the past until they crash like a broken ship in a hurricane?
