(2025)(Book 68 in the Timber: U.S. Marshal series)
A novel by M C Boisclair and Robert Hanlon
A brand new "Timber: U.S. Marshal" adventure from Robert Hanlon and M.C. Boisclair!
On his usual rounds hunting cut-throats and killers, TImber rides into Wichita Falls after two weeks on the dusty trail. The first thing he discovers is that the local bank has been robbed and the bank manager has been killed. Timber is asked to hunt down the bank robbers and bring them to justice. But, like everything in Timber’s man-hunts, nothing is as easy as it seems.
The trail takes them north into the Indian Nations where Timber and his posse discover a bunch of dead Comanche, and it looks like some other Comanche may have committed the crime. Timber soon discovers this is far from the truth. When two of his own men of the posse kill two more Comanche braves in cold blood, Timber has a problem on his hands. He must keep the Comanche from killing these men who he is forced to protect in order to bring them to trial before he can resume his hunt for the bank robbers.
To make matters worse, the chief of these Comanche is none other than Quanah Parker. The famous Quanah sends two of his own men along with Timber to hunt down the killers of five of his own tribe. One of these Comanche is Rain Dance, who is a white Comanche, and has special orders of his own from Quanah.
Orders Timber knows nothing about. Orders that could put Timber under a dirt blanket.
Genre: Western
