The Book Nerd
I spent my high school Friday nights shaking my pompoms in a small town where all the boys played football. Or liked football. Or pretended to like football to score points with the girls who shook pompoms. And they were all jerks. Especially to a socially awkward girl who only joined the squad on a dare. College was my escape. I was there to get my degree, maybe date a math geek or a history buff, then come back home and open my own bookstore. The one thing I knew for certain . . . no more football players.
Enter Flynn Nichols.
The Jock
The morning Colleen McAllister dumped iced coffee down my shorts was the day she finally noticed me. I’d seen her around since her freshman orientation three years ago. Of course I had because hello, who could miss her beautiful smile and lithe athlete’s body? But what did it take to get her to see me? Signing up as her tutor wasn’t going to be enough. Apparently, she had a thing about athletes. Thenshockinglyshe asked me to pose as her boyfriend for a hearts and flowers filled Valentine's festival back home in Kissing Creek.
