Trapped among frightened guests and an increasingly ambitious killer, Darius and Holly must separate superstition from evidence before another victim is drained of more than their bank balance. But the bodies are only part of the mystery. Someone wants Hack’s dagger, someone else wants Darius dead, and both are willing to turn the mayor’s glittering celebration into a bloodbath.
