Christmas, 1883.

Stationed alone at a remote army outpost deep in the snow-covered wilderness, Simon Banister never expects a newspaper's Christmas letter campaign to change his life. Yet the thoughtful letters from seventeen-year-old Victoria Henderson soon become the brightest part of his lonely days, reminding him that God often answers prayers in unexpected ways.

Though surrounded by wealth, Victoria lives under the crushing control of her tyrannical banker father. Longing for freedom and guided by faith, she risks everything by disguising herself as a boy and setting out alone across a dangerous winter wilderness to find the man whose letters have captured her heart.

When Simon's final letter goes unanswered, he fears the worst. Instead, Victoria arrives at his remote outpost bruised, exhausted, and barely alive.

As Christmas draws near, Simon and Victoria discover that the Lord can make a way where none seems possible—and that sometimes the greatest love stories begin with a single letter.
