A comic novel which follows the dubious fortunes of Nicholas Kraven, lecturer in English Literature at Moshulu College in the Bronx, as he drifts upon a sea of troubles. Kraven finally flies to London, then Harrogate, there to confront the ghost of his father and to slay the Kraven demons.
